Common Questions

Pulse Mailing Common Questions

How do I get started and what is involved?

Sign up for an account on www.pulsemailing.com. Real estate agents will need their principal broker to fill out a broker authorization form to allow Pulse Mailing to view and print directly from their MLS. Authorization is only required one time for any agents that want to sign up for that office. Broker IDX access and authorization is required for the automated service. All MLS data is treated as confidential information and is never used for anything but it specified use. There are no fees or contacts to sign or commit to and you can cancel your account at anytime. If your broker has already provided broker authorization, all you need to do is sign up for an account online!

What is Broker Authorization?

Pulse Mailing requires the principal broker's permission to print and view listings from your office's MLS system. When a broker authorizes our use of your office's MLS system's data, it enables the entire office to sign up for Pulse Mailing. Only the agents that sign up on www.pulsemailing.com will receive Just Listed/Just Sold postcard service. Each agent that signs up is responsible for his or her own Pulse Mailing account, and will be billed individually by credit card. Other billing arrangements can be made. For example, if a broker wants to pay for all the agents' postcards, or pay for part of the cost of the mailings this can be arranged by contacting Pulse Mailing directly.

Can I still use Pulse Mailing without Broker Authorization and/or if my MLS is not available for Pulse Mailing?

Yes. However, the automated portion of the program cannot be activated in these situations. The alternative is to send postcards for your listings ‘manually’ by using the QuickStart Cards link in your account. All you need do is enter the key data about your listings.

What are QuickStart™ Cards?

QuickStart™ Cards enables customers to ‘manually’ create and mail out Just Listed and Just Sold postcards when the automation is in the process of being set up or unavailable. These postcards are extremely easy to use and have the same high quality and quick turnaround time as the automated Pulse Mailing postcards. They are also priced the same as the fully automated postcards. To use QuickStart Cards, login to your Pulse Mailing account, and select the “QuickStart™ Cards” link. All you need to do is upload a property photo, property price and property address. You can then select the number of postcards you want to be mailed (100 minimum) in your account settings.

Can I pick and choose which listings I want a postcard for?

Yes, but only in some cases. If your account is set up for automation, you can filter out your low-end listings by setting a minimum property value in your account settings. For example, if you set your minimum property value at $100,000, we will not print and mail out a postcard for any listings less than $100,000. We only send automated postcards out for residential properties. If you want a postcard done for commercial, vacant, or empty lots, you will need to send it out using Quick-Start™ Cards. If MLS data is unavailable or if you do not want to take full advantage of the automated service, you can use QuickStart Cards to have complete control over the listings you want to promote. But remember, when ever you have a new listing, or when it sells, you will need to log in to your account and use a QuickStart Card to announce it every time.

When will my Pulse Mailing service begin?

Automated postcards will go out once we receive broker authorization, and as quickly as we can make the necessary arrangements with our data providers to set your MLS system up with Pulse Mailing. If your MLS is currently available, set-up usually takes about a week. Once the automation is set up, every residential property you list will send a Just Listed postcard out to the appropriate mailing list. When the status changes to sold, a Just Sold postcard will get mailed out. Turnaround is typically 72 hours from posting a listing to mailing of postcards.

Please note that Just Sold postcards will be sent for all current listings with an active status, once the status changes to sold. Current and prior listings before your automation is activated will not generate a postcard mailing unless you enter them in as QuickStart™ Cards. These are mailed out within two business days of placing your order.

Can I see the postcard templates without signing up?
